What are colour conditioners?

Color conditioners are products that enhance and intensify your hair with a burst of color or counteract the effects of unwanted hues like brassy tones of gold and orange. To achieve the best look, you should create a customized blend by mixing up two of four different shades: red, brown, yellow, or blue (or violet). It is the ideal way to unleash your inner colorist and revive dull strands.

Choosing the right conditioner
Ideally, you will need something that is fairly thick as if it's too thin, the resulting mix will tend to drip off your hair. Something that is labelled an intensive treatment or conditioner will work well.

Choosing a Colour

There are a fair few semi-permanent vegetable based colours on the market. These products typically work mostly by staining the hair; they don't contain ammonia or hydrogen peroxide, so they can't lift the hair colour. If you can't find your perfect shade, you can mix colours to create it (within the same brand!).

Here are some options you can consider:

Blue + Brown: It takes out warmth and gives depth to dark brown and black hair.
Red + Brown: This imparts richness to brown hair, red-brown hair, and deep red hair.
Yellow + Brown: Makes light to dark brown hair richer and brighter.
Blue + Yellow: Makes dull blond or brown hair come back to life.
Red + Yellow: Creates a coppery glow to blond highlights and also keeps copper, brown, and auburn hair looking bright.
Red + Blue: Perks up burgundy, red, and red-brown hair.
